Coming from a middle-income family in a low-income country, Alex has gained admission into some of the world’s most elite universities and been employed by some of the world’s most selective companies on sheer merit. Alex had no family connections and no networking skills growing up. He attributes his success to a simple mix of smarts, persistence and hard work – qualities that he developed with the help of his family and teachers.

Alex believes that each one of us has the innate ability to be smart if we only learn the right ways to look at problems, frame solutions and process information. Be Smart, Not Stupid is a manifestation of that belief in the ability of every human being to be smarter in every area of life.
